The expansion of the commuter network in Madrid\u2019s Northwest area has hit important milestones lately. Adding to the approval of the construction of a second station in Tres Cantos, the extension of this line from Colmenar Viejo up to Soto del Real is in progress. Using the existing 102 line, an old connection from Madrid to Burgos, the project includes the upgrade of the line, the building of a second track, its electrification and the renewal of the Signalling and Telecommunication systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this framework, Adif has awarded ENYSE with the Design of the Project and the execution of the works of the Safety Installations in the Colmenar Viejo \u2013 Soto del Real section. The contract includes the supply of two new EiS23 electronic interlockings at Colmenar and Soto stations, which will replace the exiting ones at Manzanares\/Soto and Colmenar. They will be controlled from Chamart\u00edn\u2019s CTC along with the new track-side equipment, including Enyse\u2019s LED wayside signals and the L1 ETCS system, which will be extended from the distant signal at Tres Cantos.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
