06.08.2021
The European Commission has recently approved the proposal for the R&D partnership under his new frame program 2021-27 Horizon Europe. The program dedicated to rail will run up to 2031 and has been equipped with a total budget of 1,212 million eur.
The main aspects to be covered by the founding members are related to the evolution of the environment concerning investment, operation and business as a whole, such as
- New operational framework for integrated European rail network.
- Evolution of the European Rail Traffic Management System.
- Adaptation of the BIM modelling to the railway environment.
- Smart management and maintenance of railway assets.
In this scenario, Enyse’s candidacy – within the European Smart Green Rail Joint Venture, has been accepted as founding member of Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking, ERJU, the partnership that will take over the current Shift2Rail scheme. The ESGR JV includes also Cemosa, Comsa, Tekniker and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and will be focused on the development of innovative solutions to be implemented in order to accomplish the goals of the European Green Deal.
The Spanish railway sector will also be present at ERJU thru the Mitma group, led by Adif to include Adif High Speed, Renfe, Cedex and Ineco.
Enyse will focus in the evolution of its control system, working in the coexistence of the necessary cybersecurity aspects with the use of open platforms – which are becoming essential in the new operational scenario evolving in Europe.
