Double Track extension Astillero-Orejo

Within the works of the infrastructure upgrade for the narrow-gauge line in the region of Cantabria, Adif has awarded Enyse with the contract for the project and execution of the new Signalling and Telecommunication systems of the double way track extension from Astillero to Orejo. The works include the modification of the interlocking at Astillero and a new EiS23 interlocking at Ojero station, providing technological continuity to the Torrelavega-Santander-Astillero line. The same technology will also be used for the Telecomms and the track-side equipment – LED wayside signals, digital ASFA, axle counters and point machines. The new section will be implemented in several phases and it will also be controlled from the CTC at Santander.
