Algeciras harbour

The Algeciras Bay Port Authority has trusted Enyse again for the Project of the Signalling Modifications of the special junctions within the harbour of Algeciras. The works include the update of the existing Level Crossings at the railway and roadway accesses to the port. New E300 type crossings will also be installed, along with its detection devices and protecting LED type wayside signalling. Several switches will be motorized/controlled and the ENYSIC monitoring system will be enhanced and updated as well as the associated telecommunications and power supply systems.

One of the options for crossing control includes the ENYVODD system, incorporating an artificial vision camera monitoring concept. This new camera system is based in the use of video analysis technologies. At the Level Crossing area, a series of video cameras will be installed covering the intersection of the railway track with the vehicles’ road zone. The system continuously processes the images taken by the cameras and is capable of detecting the presence or absence of obstacles at the level crossing.

This enhancement at the port of Algeciras adds to the recent interventions of Enyse at other logistic terminals as relevant as Vicálvaro in Madrid or Marchamalo in Guadalajara, serving the port of Tarragona.
