Commissioning of three stations in the Salamanca line

Within the works for the Signalling and Electrification projects of the line between Salamanca and Fuentes de Oñoro, a new Signalling system has been commissioned for the three stations closest to the Portuguese border – Fuentes de Oñoro, Espejas and Ciudad Rodrigo. The revenue service follows the design, manufacture, installation and testing of all track-side equipment, including track circuits or axle counters for the blocks, point machines and LED wayside signals equipped with the national ASFA ATP system. Command and control are done through the EiS23 electronic interlocking, also in charge of the blocks and the interfaces with the collateral stations at Sancti-Spíritus and Vilar Formoso – the latter under the responsibility of Infraestruturas de Portugal, IP, the national railway infrastructure manager. The line will be operated from the CTC at León.

At Enyse we want to thank the support and cooperation of Adif and Ineco, extremely helpful as usual, but also want to extend a particularly big thank you to IP across the border for their commitment and dedication – muito obrigado!
