Sagunto intermodal platform

Sagunto intermodal platform

At the beginning of this year, construction began on Parc Sagunt II Intermodal Platform,
having a budget of €98 million and a two-year completion period. In this first phase,
awarded to the Rover Infraestructuras-Becsa-Rover Rail Joint Venture, the scope of works
includes the tracks, electrification, signalling and interior access design. Bearing in mind
that is considered Europe’s most important future logistics hub, the platform will provide
services to, among other facilities, a mega factory producing batteries for electric
vehicles.

In the Signaling scope, Enyse will supply a new EiS23 Electronic Interlocking System
equipped with a Local Command Post and Maintenance Assistance System. In the field,
axle counters, LED side markings, electromechanical drives, and E-300 level crossings will
be installed, with the addition of all the cables, power supply, and associated civil works.
The Intermodal Platform will allow the movement of freight by rail along some of the
most important National Corridors, Central (Valencia-Madrid) and the Cantabrian-
Mediterranean (Valencia-Zaragoza-North) and also to Europe through the Mediterranean
Corridor.
